CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
Demond Turner earned his degree in occupational therapy at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he honed his skilled strengths in both pediatric, and geriatric populations and he has a bachelor's in biology from Louisiana Tech University. He is continuing his education toward his Master's in Occupational Therapy at University of Louisiana Monroe.
Demond is in partnership with a colleague in founding and running a scholarship and mentor program for deserving high school students in the local community. He and his wife are busy with a one-year-old son at home.
He is experienced with children, adolescents, adults and seniors in a variety of settings and with a wide range of diagnoses. His calming nature makes him an effective therapist. He is trained in Interactive Metronome, play-based skills, sensory processing, socialization skills, and motor control.
