Jessica George completed her masters in speech-language pathology at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2009 and is an active member of ASHA and TSHA. She has extensive experience in the field, both as a therapist and an administrator in the past. Her therapeutic interests include working with children, adolescents, and adults, clients on the Autism spectrum, including those with specialized behavior needs, as well as young adults transitioning from the school/ academic setting to the functional adult community. In addition, Jessica has specialized training in socialization skills, play-based skills, and vocation and transitional training.
Jessica knew she wanted to become a speech-language pathologist when she had the opportunity to watch a speech therapist work with her sister as a child and was inspired by the difference that therapist was able to make in her life. She believes that watching a child gain independence and have a voice of their own is what makes being a speech therapist so rewarding.
